“The sense of play and freedom within art marking, tapping into a meditative and flow state, is what excites me each day. And of course, to share that journey and passion!”

As a natural synesthete (sonic and visual senses cross-over), Helena also explores spirituality and transcendence in her work. Fascinated with layering, mystery, memory, and the divine, there is definite thread of continuity between her fine art and musical compositions.

Experimentation through abstraction, a vast variety of materials and techniques keeps Helena enchanted and delighted with the process of creating. The magic and mystery of watching her art unfold is a daily meditative practice that she enjoys sharing on her instagram as well.

Her travels and life throughout Japan, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Denmark, to name a few inspire her artwork and music. The colors, the landscapes, people, sounds and textures greatly inspire her abstracts. Helena as also been deeply inspired by faces and portraiture as a means for expressing and exploring deep power and mystery.

Helena and her husband Wyatt ( also a musician) lived off the northwestern coast of Japan where they explored the ancient and mystical culture, the music, and stunning traditional fine art and architecture. The reverence for nature and aesthetic continue to inspire Helena today. Folklore, mythology, and contemporary artworks also inspire Helena’s recurring themes (female power, enchanted tales, nature, ethereal all with both a dreamy and playful aesthetic).
